Teenage Naps...

So we have lots of pictures of our toddlers falling asleep in random places... I guess the pattern begins to repeat itself with teenagers...

Gobbling up rice cereal... It's a hit...

Dauphin Island- running

Doug and I are training for a Ragnar in October.  It has been so fun to run together! The race helped us keep motivated to train, even while on vacation.  We ran together twice in the blazing heat and humidity!

Dauphin Island - Paddle Boarding

Look who leaned to swim this summer!!

Ethan keeps proving to us that when he sets his mind to something, he can do it! Put swimming on the list! He has worked hard this summer, first being brave in tadpoles, then in swim team, and finally practicing at the pool each time we go as a family.  It's so fun to watch him swimming! Right before swim team started we taught him to put his face in the water by enticing him to go under to find quarters in the big bath tub... and now, he has no fear! It's amazing. So proud of him!

Logan's hands...

I just walked in on Logan. I thought he was asleep... Nope... He was just examining his hands... With a look of wonder... I love that! It's like he's thinking... What are those? They are so cool... Look what they can do... I am so lucky...

All Stars

We love watching our kids swim.  Porter rocked the All- Star meet!  He took first in Freestyle, 8th in backstroke, and 3rd in the 100 free.  So fun to watch that power move through the water.

Dauphin Beach Bike Ride

Dauphin Island Jet Skiing

Happy Birthday to Doug!  Part of Daddy's birthday celebration included renting jet skis!

Doug, Preston and Sophie found dolphins while they were out riding.  They came back and took Ethan and Luke out and were successful in finding the dolphins again!  What a treat!
Porter loved driving the jet ski.  Ethan was happy to have shorter, slower rides.

Luke pulled up after his first ride, hair crazy and eyes lit up.  His first words?  "That was awesome!"  No joke...
We used our beach shade for the first time.  Lucky for Logan!  He was already wondering what he did to deserve so much sand and sun and heat during our vacation.
