Gingerbread Houses

Ethan was determined to decorate Gingerbread houses right now... so I picked some up, and decorate they did!

Landa Park Hike and lunch

For most of the walk Lukie ran ahead singing at the top of his lungs, "Follow  the Lukie, follow the Lukie, don't go astray!"

Tree Decorating

We had some determined boys... I was working on my talk, but they wanted to decorate the tree. I put the lights on (with their help.) Then they went to town on their own, decorating away. They did a good job.

Eva's Go-Pro famous!!

We (mom, dad and Sophie) were in Target doing a little late night Black Friday shopping. She looked up and saw this picture and said, "That looks like Eva." I agreed with her. Then she said, "I think that is Eva." I told her it couldn't be... A few minutes later she reassured her suspicion, pointing out the swimsuit (that used to be hers) the slide color (Eva's) the goggles (convinced those were hers.) I took another look, and told Doug she was right, maybe it could be Eva... after all, Paul has that Go-Pro he's always taking pictures with.  I told Sophie to text Erin a picture.  Sure enough!! Sophie was totally right, it was Eva! How cool is that? Paul had submitted the pic to a contest and won $500, but they didn't know if Go-Pro had ever used the picture. They checked their Target after taking to us, but she wasn't there. I just can't believe how perceptive Sophie was in noticing and determined inspite if me and Doug doubting. So cool.

Gratitude Tree

Ethan instigated our gratitude tree this year. He cut out all of the turkey handprints, we wrote down what we're grateful for, and he glued them on the wall. He is a go getter. It was his idea, his design, and his persistence that made this happen.

Thanksgiving Morning bike ride

While Doug and Porter went to the Turkey Bowl, little boys and I rode our bikes in neighborhood, past Sophie's school to gas station to get a drink and back again. Boys thought that was awesome! They were also my photographers here...

Doug had to work the first part of Thanksgiving Break and the kids didn't have school, so we went to Kingwood for a few days. Porter was able to go hunting with Brother Gold (and talked us into helping him pay for a rifle as his early Christmas present.) We had such a great time seeing our friends!

Cub Scout visit to police station

Ethan lost his 1st tooth!

Ethan came home from school with a super loose tooth. He finally agreed to let me take a tug. I didn't even have to tug, it came out when I touched it. The funny part was, he didn't even notice for a while. He was thrilled to finally be in the 'lost tooth' club! And finally get a visit from the tooth  fairy.

Karate Tournament

The boys took an after school karate class at their elementary school. They made it to yellow belt (but since they didn't want to continue, I didn't pay for the test, so they didn't get to take a yellow belt home with them.) We did take them to the tournament. The whole thing feels like a money raquet. But the boys did learn. I loved an activity that didn't require a lot of running around or Saturday
