Vaughn came to visit mid October. It was wine of those, we never know if he's coming until he's on our doorstep... Sophie and her friend had fun braiding his beard. Trip was short and sweet.

We (mom, dad and Sophie) were in Target doing a little late night Black Friday shopping. She looked up and saw this picture and said, "That looks like Eva." I agreed with her. Then she said, "I think that is Eva." I told her it couldn't be... A few minutes later she reassured her suspicion, pointing out the swimsuit (that used to be hers) the slide color (Eva's) the goggles (convinced those were hers.) I took another look, and told Doug she was right, maybe it could be Eva... after all, Paul has that Go-Pro he's always taking pictures with. I told Sophie to text Erin a picture. Sure enough!! Sophie was totally right, it was Eva! How cool is that? Paul had submitted the pic to a contest and won $500, but they didn't know if Go-Pro had ever used the picture. They checked their Target after taking to us, but she wasn't there. I just can't believe how perceptive Sophie was in noticing and determined inspite if me and Doug doubting. So cool.

Doug had to work the first part of Thanksgiving Break and the kids didn't have school, so we went to Kingwood for a few days. Porter was able to go hunting with Brother Gold (and talked us into helping him pay for a rifle as his early Christmas present.) We had such a great time seeing our friends!

Ethan came home from school with a super loose tooth. He finally agreed to let me take a tug. I didn't even have to tug, it came out when I touched it. The funny part was, he didn't even notice for a while. He was thrilled to finally be in the 'lost tooth' club! And finally get a visit from the tooth fairy.

The boys took an after school karate class at their elementary school. They made it to yellow belt (but since they didn't want to continue, I didn't pay for the test, so they didn't get to take a yellow belt home with them.) We did take them to the tournament. The whole thing feels like a money raquet. But the boys did learn. I loved an activity that didn't require a lot of running around or Saturday
