Ethan is Potty Trained

Easiest one yet... We went to Splash Town with our swim team.  We hired a babysitter to watch Ethan and Luke.  Kira R* brought her son Chase over to be babysat at our home.  Chase is one year older than Ethan.  When we got back from Splash Town Ethan said to me,  "Chase wears undies."  I told him that "yes, Chase is part of the undies club, and you can wear undies too."  From that point on, he wore undies. End of story.  After wearing undies for about three days, he was sitting on the potty, and looked at me and said, "diaper club."  He realized that undies were a lot of work.  But we said, "no way, you're not going back.  You've proved that you can do it!" Hooray for Ethan! This happened the middle of June. I am writing this months later, and he has only had a handful of accidents.  Usually when he just can't get to the potty fast enough.

750 points!

Porter earned another tile, giving him a total of 750 point. This is a big accomplishment. Only one other student in the history of Kings Manor Elementary has earned 750 points. Amazing! What a lesson in what you can do if you set goals and work towards achieving those goals.

The end of school

It was awards assembly time! Porter won the kite rails award for his grade. He also made A/B honor roll. Sophie made the A honor roll. Kindergarten doesn't have honor roll.

We took pictures with their teachers- Preston with Mrs. Tolbert, Sophie with
Mrs. Shull and Porter with Mrs. Guilbeaux.

It was a great school year, but we are ready for a summer break!!

Porter's GT Project

Everything you needed to know about Blue Bell ice cream. Porter had a passion for food this year.  He studied Blue Bell Ice Cream for this project, and the history of Gummy Bears for another project. We took this picture at the GT showcase.  He used Google Docs and created a power point presentation.  He got a 100 % on the project.
