Lake Conroe with The Garner's

We were thrilled to be invited back on the late with the Garners. I love having time getting caught up with Sara, and my boys love time on the lake and the water.

Doug stayed home because we had some workers finishing up a project. He came up and met us for dinner at Mia's Table. All you can eat ice cream and lots of good conversation. So fun!

Harmony Yoga

Sheryl invited us to join her for her 200th yoga class! It was my first time doing a barre class. It was surprisingly challenging! I was a last minute (like in the lobby last minute sign-up) but I'm so glad I didn't miss it. I really enjoy trying new fitness classes and it was nice to support Sheryl. It meant a lot to her to have her friends support her in something that is so important to her.

Schlitterbahn - Galveston

Much to my delight, our Six Flags Passes are also good for Schlitterbahn - Galveston! We headed down on a Monday morning to find the park not busy at all. I love a good water park, and was not disappointed! Had we paid full price, I might have been. But as it stood, it was absolutely worth the hour and a half drive. There were a few elements reminiscent of our beloved Schlitterbahn - NB... mini versions to the Torrent River lazy river, and the White Water Rapid lazy river.

Interactive Aquarium

For Father's Day weekend, we went to the Interactive Aquarium. We just wanted a family activity. It was our first time petting a giraffe, that was unique, and quite possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Cypress Creek High Adventure 2026 - Canoeing the Buffalo River

Doug took the young men on a canoeing trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas. Since our young men's group is small, and because Doug was going, Logan was able to go also. The boys had a great time. The river was moving faster than normal for this time of year, so they finished the canoeing/camping early. They stopped and mined for diamonds on the way home, and they still got home a whole day early.
