Sophia's High Adventure

VooDoo Donuts and Health Science Museum

We loved VooDoo Donuts at Universal Studios, and were thrilled to hear they have one in Houston. It's near the museum district, so we combined a trip for donuts with our trip to the Health Science Museum. Sadly, the donuts are much better fresh in Florida, but it was still fun to make the trek and see all the crazy donut combinations they come up with. The museum was interesting, and the science lab was awesome. We learned how to blood type.

Foundation

When we returned from our trip we were thrilled to see they had poured the foundation!

The Grand Canyon

While it added a couple of hours to our trip, and we were trying to get back to Houston for Doug to attend a meeting, we decided we could't come that close to the Grand Canyon and not take the opportunity to go. The views are spectacular. The kids commented that it was so much grander than they imagined. Well worth the detour!

Jackson's

We drove through Kingman, Arizona right around lunch time. So we gave some of our favorite people, the Jackson's a call. They were able to meet us for lunch at Culver's. We were so happy to have a brief reunion with them!

Yosemite

We weren't sure if we were going to be able to go to Yosemite, due to Covid. But we watched the website, and when they opened up last minute tickets we were able to get some. I'm so glad! This is another must see National Park.
