Luke's Vocal Debut

Luke joined Keo, Ruby, and Golden Hansen in singing a song in church. They did such a great job! So proud of his bravery.

South Padre Island

The Womack's have invited us for years to join them at Thanksgiving in South Padre Island. We finally took them up on their offer! Porter decided to spend Thanksgiving in New Braunfels, so we took a detour and dropped him off there first.

We rented a beach house with the Womack's that was a short walk to the beach. We spent the first day on the beach. Then the weather got a little cold, so we spent time playing games, watching movies, making Thanskgiving dinner, and playing Knock-Out and Revenge Basketball. They love Hallmark movies, so we even subjected the kids to several Christmas Hallmark movies. We went for walks on the beach, swam in the beach house's pool, and we went to the Turtle Rescue Center. This is the first time we have vacationed with another family and we really enjoyed it! We ended up taking Scout with us because Doug said we might not have that much time with him. It was Scout's first time seeing the beach.

Logan, the Lizard Whisperer

Logan found a lizard and charmed him. The lizard stayed in Logan's hand during his nap, during the whole camp fire and the whole ride home. Logan made a habitat for him, fed him Sloki's crickets. but then worried that the lizard wouldn't survive in captivity, so he decided to release him into the wild.
