They started framing the second week of August

Once they finally started, the frame and roof went up so quickly! So exciting!! The pictures show 3 weeks of progress!

Luke's Writing Inspiration

Galveston

Sophie wanted to go to Galveston for the family portion of her birthday celebration, with Mayci, of course. We spent a nice day enjoying the beach. Doug left early to take Luke to baseball try-outs. He was in a rental car because his engine had gone out in his infinity (and that's another story- the engine made terrible sounds after an oil change. The oil place wouldn't take responsibility, but the dealer was able to warrenty it, and we got a new entine.) On the way to baseball, while still in Galveston, Doug hit a pot hole and popped the run flat. It was a very expensive repair, but the tire people moved him to the front of the line, brought a tire in, and had him back on the road in time for baseball. Phew!

Brazos Bend

We came hoping to see Alligators, but apparently it was still too hot for them to be out. We still had a nice time walking about and being in nature. We combined the trip with a stop at the bunny farm, so Doug could see one of Ethan's favorite place! )The picture of Doug with the bunny should actually be here.)
